This AquaClear 70 Power Filter Maintenance Inserts Package includes the three Inserts you will need to replace on a regular basis, a Brush Set & Fluval Cycle Biological Booster. It also includes Silicone Lube.

The AquaClear Manual suggests adding Fluval Cycle Biological Booster when changing out AquaClear Inserts. With filtration systems, when you throw away the Inserts, you throw away beneficial bacteria. Cycle will replenish the bacteria.

The Manual also recommends that when changing out Inserts, you also clean with a filter stem brush the intake "U" tube and extension tube to remove any buildup of deposits. We include the Fluval Impeller Brush Set for the cleaning.

When changing AquaClear Inserts the Manual recommends you also remove the Motor Unit, clean the Impeller Assembly (with the included brushes), and lubricate the motor Seal Ring (part H) with the provided Silicone Lube. Lubricating the Seal Ring will make it last longer.
