The Aqua Ultraviolet 40W 3/4" OZONE UV Sterilizer is the premium choice as a clarifier and sterilizer in ponds and aquariums.
This ozone unit will also create ozone gas that will make the water even clearer than with just a regular UV sterilizer. The ozone gas will also raise the ORP and help to kill bacteria and parasites. The ozone is created just by running air through the airline past the UV light. To use you will need to hook up the output of the airline connection to a venturi that will mix the ozonized air with your aquarium/pond water. This is often done with saltwater aquariums by connecting to the venturi on a protein skimmer.
Used as a sterilizer, the Classic 40 Watt UV is the premium choice for a 1200-2000 gallon pond or an aquarium up to 150 gallons. Used as a clarifier, the Classic 40 Watt can treat up to 6000 gallons of fresh water that has 50% to 75% plant coverage.
