The Fluval 307 Canister Filter & STARTUP Package includes four products you will need to use with the Fluval 307 Canister Filter during the first three months of use:

• Fluval 307 Filter Replacement Quick-Clear Water Polishing Pad, 6-Pack (Fluval A244). Fluval recommends you replace these every month.
• 2X Fluval Carbon, 3 X 100 Gram Packs (Fluval A1440). Fluval recommends you replace these every month.
• Fluval Cycle Concentrated Biological Booster, 4 oz (A-8348). All new tanks need a bio booster to jump start the biological filtration. Even established tanks need a bio booster if you are introducing a brand new filter with fresh bio media.
  
• Inland Seas Super Lube Silicone Lube, 1cc. Fluval recommends lubricating the Motor Head Gasket every month.

Basically, these four products will need to be purchased soon after purchasing the Fluval 107 Canister Filter. Might as well get them with the Filter.
