This Fluval FX4/FX5/FX6 Canister Filter Semi Annual Maintenance Kit Package w/ Pads includes eight items: the Fluval FX Bio-Foam Pads 2-Pack (Fluval A239); Fluval FX Bio-Foam Block 3-Pack (Fluval A228); Fluval FX Carbon Foam Pad 2-Pack (Fluval A249); Fluval BioMax Media 500 grams (Fluval A1456); Fluval FX Ammonia Remover Pad 3 Pack (A259); Fluval Phosphate Remover Pad (A262); Fluval FX Nitrite Remover Pad 3 Pack (A265); and the Inland Seas Super Lube Silicone Lube, 1cc.

Fluval's FX Canister Filter Semi Annual Maintenance Instructions:
To prevent sudden failure or reduced performance, Fluval suggests the following maintenance be performed every six months on their FX Series Canister Filters:

• Unplug the filter prior to cleaning
• Clean and lubricate the included Motor Seal Ring (with the included Inland Seas Super Lube Silicone Lube)
• Check and clean the impeller and intake Stem/Strainer
• Check and clean the ribbed hosing
• Replace the included Bio-Foam Pads (every six months)
• Replace half of the included Bio-Foam Blocks (every six months)
• Replace the included Carbon Foam (every month)
• The Ammonia, Phosphate & Nitrite Remover Pads are optional. If you're using these pads they should be replaced every month as well.
• Replace half the included BioMax and rinse the other half (every six months)
